This is my adopted dog, Maddie. I saved her from a kill shelter in Gainesville, Florida, where they really try to do the best they can with so many animals. Maddie is the greatest joy in my life and definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made was taking her home. She'd been abused and returned to the shelter. She is the sweetest, most loyal and loving, most intelligent dog I've ever known. You look into her eyes and you see a soul there, which is why I liked this picture so much. Everyone should consider adopting from the pound before getting a dog- you really make a difference in their lives and they remind you everday how much they love you.
